I wonder how many of us are lurkers and are just waiting, hoping, for that one post to resonate enough to take the plunge and send a message. I know I have sifted through here plenty but have yet to find a post where I’m like “yeah, that’s what I’m all about”.

So.. A bit about me! My friends have described me as a tall predominantly eclectic dreadlocked, tattood lumberjack looking person. I guess I dress the way I do because it’s what I'm attracted to. Just add a beard and I’m sold. I don’t do love languages/astrology/that kinda stuff but I’d say I speak fluent sarcasm and if I am being mean to you it must mean I like you and I also expect the same in return because I don't want to feel like I'm mean. Get it?

Though my style may hint at me liking being outside, sure.. BUT have you been inside? It has all my cool non-outside stuffs. My knitting/crochet/sewing/resin/cooking type things and it also has a bed and a tv PS/DS. Sometimes I even get to use some of these things simultaneously, would recommend. But ok, I’m down to go for a hike too, just wont likely be me initiating it. I’d rather play games (Horizon, Skyrim, Far Cry) or watch something (sci-fi, Star Trek, BSG, Stargate. Or things like The Fall of the House of Usher was pretty good too) whilst doing something crafty with my hands. (I do also read but that’s mostly for school, I’m studying to be an English Teacher. I used to do it more but other things became more interesting to do.)

I would for sure call myself a crafter, I like DIY and would rather step on a rusty nail than hire someone to do something for me even if it means it wont be done any time soon. Huge plus for anyone that would call themselves a handyman. (I remember getting slightly turned on after someone told me they were going to buy a new shop vac.. I have low standards or daddy issues, can’t wait to not find out)

Most important thing in my life is my daughter, she’s 5,5 now. A massive hand full if u don’t have patience. If you do then she’s a typical 5,5 year old. Princesses, art and all noisy bodily functions are what fuel her throughout the day. Luckily she enjoys the same music (PUP, Menzingers, NOFX, Four Year Strong, A Wilhelm Scream) so there are not often issues on that front. Trying to limit screen time but glad she now has better taste in tv and happily watches Adventure time and Angela Anaconda and I don't have to die of intellectual starvation during Cocomelon. I would eventually like to have another kid tbh, I was pretty much an only child and it sucked. I could go on and on about a million other things but I think this is enough for now.

What is it exactly I want from posting here? Who the hell knows! Ima try to keep my expectations in check, so I guess I would like to find someone I click with, get to talk to often enough and, I don’t know, send packages of random weird shit that gets sold here in the Netherlands for a start. Yeah, also, someone not from here would be my ideal. Even though I am part Dutch I often connect better with non-Dutch. I’ve lived abroad as a child (Asia) and my mom is British(-ish), perhaps that hasn't helped my love for the Dutch culture so much?
