Hello!

I live in Kansas City now, but I've spent most of my life in the NYC metro. I moved here in 2015 for a great job, and have been here since. I currently own a nice, modern home in the Midtown area and share it with my cute little pup. I love living inside the city and don't envision living far away from it.

I'm handsome, slim, and in great shape. I have deep, dark eyes, and a full head of dark hair that's getting peppered with greys. I keep my facial hair short and well-groomed. I currently do not have any tattoos. Most people think I look younger than my age. Regarding your appearance, I don't really have strong preferences. With the exception of a fulfilling relationship with a loving partner, I live a happy and comfortable life that isn't wanting for anything else. I'd like to connect with a compelling woman and develop a romantic partnership that endures. We can proceed at a pace that works for us.

I can (and do!) pass regular background checks due to my job. I have no unmanageable debt or unpaid bills. I'm capable, confident, and independent; the total opposite of a manchild. I do not need to be mommied or taught how to take care of myself or my home. Hopefully, you've got some degree of stability and minimal drama in your own life. Ideally, you're independent and have a job that you enjoy. Politically, I'm a passionate progressive/liberal. If you have some "conservative" values, that may not necessarily be a source of conflict. However, if you're a zealous supporter and defender of the current incarnation of the Republican party and the MAGA movement, its values, and its policies, we are not likely to be a good fit. I am also not a religious person, but it is okay if you are as long as you accept me as I am. Lastly, I don't have children and would prefer to date someone without children or whose kids are older and independent.

Some things I enjoy:

• Food: I have a very adventurous palate and love trying new foods. I actually try to avoid eating at the same restaurant twice to force myself to broaden my culinary experiences. If you're a vegan/vegetarian, I respect your choice. I'm open to the idea of some version of vegetarianism myself. I'm also a competent cook, though I don't enjoy cooking. I would strongly prefer a partner who does. I promise that I'm great at doing the dishes and cleaning up in the kitchen.

• Fitness: My health is important to me, especially as I get older. I exercise regularly and also run. I'd love a workout partner.

• Media: I love watching movies and going to the theater, especially for spectacles like Marvel films. I'm also constantly listening to podcasts, typically of the political variety.

• Reading: It's hard to beat being curled up with my Kindle and my dog. I typically read fantasy or science-fiction books.

• Music: I really enjoy live music. I'm tolerant of just about any genre but gravitate towards indie, pop, and EDM. I love discovering new music, so if you want to share something you're vibing to and think I might too, share it with me!

• Games: I tend to play single-player video games that allow me to pause at any time. I also love to play board games with a group. My favorites are ones that involve some sort of social component and intuition, like Secret Hitler. Going out for trivia nights at bars is also one of my favorite things to do.

• Animals: Lover of all animals, hater of insects. I have one dog. He's a small and fluffy Pekingese and he loves attention. He's an absolute butthead, but I promise he'll love you, and you'll love him.

• Cleanliness: I'm probably the cleanest man you'll ever meet. I keep both my home and myself neat and tidy. I'm something of a minimalist as well. Not a big fan of collecting tons of trinkets and tchotchkes and other things. I would love to add more wall art and plants to my home though.

• Drug Usage: I only drink socially and in moderation. I don't smoke anything, and would not date someone who smokes a lot of anything. It smells gross and makes you taste gross. I sometimes enjoy a low-dose edible or a psychedelic. It's okay with me if you casually enjoy alcohol, marijuana, or "lighter" drugs more often than I do. I have no dependencies whatsoever and do not want to date anyone who does.

• Travel: I'm more of a homebody, but I do enjoy road trips. I would like to drive across the country in a camper someday. While I do enjoy hiking and "glamping", I'm not big into prolonged camping. I mentioned I am very clean, right?

It is perfectly fine if you don't share all my interests. You can be your own person! As long as we align on our core values and ideals, you should take a chance on me. Please be serious about meeting in person. My idea of hell is endless texting. If you're interested, send me Reddit mail and let's talk! Please include a picture of your face with your message. It's really not much different than if we were on a dating app. I will ask for a picture if you didn't include one to start with. Being weird about this would lead me to believe you're not actually serious and I'll likely just move on.

If you're long-distance (i.e. more than 3 hours away) and still interested, feel free to message me, but only if you're willing to make an actual effort to meet me in person after we talk for a bit and get to know one another. Ideally, you're in a position where you'll be able to relocate to Kansas City to live with me in a hypothetical future in which we're both committed and madly in love with one another.
