Hey there! I've been putting off writing this post for a while because I'm not quite sure where to start. I'm a single mom, tired of the whole online dating scene. My life mostly revolves around work and home, and I don't get out much on weekends, so I've resorted to the world of the internet to meet new people.

I was listening to a podcast the other day, and they asked a question that really got me thinking: "If you can't talk about your age, career, or family, what would you say to describe yourself?" Well, here's my answer:

I've got the "how hard can it be" gene, which basically means I'm always up for new challenges and hobbies. I'll give just about anything a shot, even if I don't stick with it for long. Recently, I got hooked on making chocolate treats, thanks to watching a few too many Amaury Guichon videos (though I'm nowhere near his level!). Right now, I'm on a home decor and DIY kick. I like experimenting with recipes from all around the world. I game on and off, but it's not a constant in my life.

I've been diving into African literature lately although TV is my main downtime activity, I just finished binge-watching "Top Boy." I'm not too picky when it comes to movies; I recently rewatched "The Gentlemen" and have a cheesy rom com lined up for later. As for pets, I'm a fan of both cats and dogs. I don't really get the whole "you're either a cat person or a dog person" thing. Sorry, but no reptiles or creepy crawlies for me. I'm a big travel enthusiast, and I'm determined to tick off my Africa travel wish list before I explore the rest of the world. So far, my favorite destination has been Tanzania, and I've been as far as Canada. I'm a ball of energy when I'm out and about, but when I'm at home, I tend to be unusually quiet. People often describe me as witty, so I guess I've got a sense of humor?

(oops, I'm cheating by talking about my career here) I work in marketing, and while I enjoy it, I'm always toying with the the idea of a career change. It's just in my nature, I suppose! In terms of goals, I'm currently looking into Master's programs, and I'm determined to further my education. After years of making decisions for others, I'm finally taking the time to focus on my journey and create a comfortable home for my daughter and me.

As for my ideal partner, I believe in kindness and authenticity above all else. We can save the nitty-gritty KPI talk for later when we chat. Since we might start off dating long-distance, let's brainstorm some creative ideas for that first date. I'm all ears! 😉
