Hi! I'm a turbo-nerd professional writer looking for a long-term relationship! Early 30s- no kids (past or future), no prior marriages, no addictive substances (except sugar). I know way too much about games (board games and video games), philosophy, psychology, animation, and politics (pretty far left).

I'm mostly fit (though my cardio is garbo), slender, and 6'0, and I've been told I'm handsome if you like guys with shaved heads- Ideally would like to be with someone who's also fit and generally around my age /- 9 years. Someone curious, clever, and confident. Bonus points for people with gothy/punk/alternate styles, but that's not a dealbreaker or anything. No smokers, please! That is a dealbreaker.

I've been around enough to know what I'm looking for and to know not to settle. I strive for (and expect in return) open communication, honesty, a problem-solving attitude towards conflict, and compassion/empathy/understanding/patience. I grew up in an emotionally manipulative environment, and I'm determined to break that chain, so self-improvement and being up-front are important to me.

Definitely more of a homebody/introvert, but I like walks, swimming, Halloweeny stuff, and good adventures if I get to experience them with someone. I'm a picky eater (mostly for sensory reasons), so I almost always cook for myself (if you need a partner who's all about trying new food, I'm probs not the right fit!), but I also bake because I have a nasty sweet tooth. My favorite music is typically anything with beeps and boops like Phantogram, and/or industrial vibes and some weird stuff like Cake Bake Betty. I'll watch just about anything that's really interesting or really funny. Humor is more Community/The Good Place/Adventure Time/Gravity Falls.

I'm affectionate and mostly silly despite how seriously I take a lot of topics, and I try to view life with humor. That said, I have anxiety depression, the funtimes mental health combo. I'd prefer to be with someone who at least understands mental health issues since they've been pretty prevalent in my life (doing alright the last couple years though!). I definitely like a faux-combative dynamic with partners; I tease my partners (and love it in turn); Life's no fun unless we're being a little snarky to each other. Demisexual, so I'm not really into sexystuff until after I get to know you pretty well (at which point, I'm a low-key switch/sub), but I get warmed up quickly to someone if we click.

I tend to be pretty quiet unless I have something to say, and I usually measure my words very carefully (to make sure I mean what I say and say what I mean, if you know what I mean). I tend to text in paragraphs (AS YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO TELL), so fair warning. I'd ideally like to be with someone who can do comfortable silence sometimes. I just like existing with my partner, even if we're doing something totally separate. But when I'm passionate about something, I maaaaay talk your ear off.

I'd love to play some co-op games together or get to know each other over a more serious topic (not the biggest small-talker). Or hit me with a weird hypothetical question.
