Hey everyone. Just like the title says I’m a 33 year old American guy living in the countryside of Japan. I’ve been here for a few years now, and while it’s a wonderful place to live and work I feel like it’s been way too long since I made a new friend with whom I share a similar cultural base (secretly I also feel as though I’m beginning to forget how to speak English so it would be nice to practice lol).

Physically speaking I’m 180cm, 85kg, athletically built. Brown hair, brown eyes. I take care it myself.

In no particular order I enjoy: working out, exploring the outdoors, football (the American one), video games, memes, cooking, reading, work (I’m in IT), dumb jokes, warhammer, music (both playing and listening to a wide variety of styles and genres), hot springs, animals (minus killer hornets...), other things...

It’s kind of ridiculous how, when pressed to make a list of the things you like you draw blanks lol

My life up until now has been an adventure in every way that I can conceive of one. I’ve lived in multiple counties, speak multiple languages, climbed mountains, crossed deserts, swum oceans. I’ve played classical music in grand orchestral halls, sung on stage by myself in front of hundreds, and gotten free burgers for playing the tambourine with my friends. I’ve loved deeply and lost bitterly. I also really enjoy staying at home and taking it easy with some YouTube on or just chilling with some friends.

My point is that through its ups and downs I have made every effort to enjoy life and expand my experiences. It would be nice if I could find someone similarly motivated.

I’d like someone with whom to talk/text. You could be from anywhere, though someone close-ish in age would be nice. We could laugh about dumb things, have deep conversations, share about our lives, talk about problems. If you’re ever in the Japanese countryside I could show you around lol
