So we're finally seeing the end of summer and I'm a little sad it's over so soon.
Now I've managed to deal alright. I've travelled, cleaned my house and painted/renovated. I've played more video games and read more books than I have in years. So it's not all bad. I'm in pretty damn good shape right now too, which is definitely alright.
I want to know how you're doing.
As someone who's passionate about comedy history and what makes funny things funny, I've learned to appreciate the place that Monty Python has in modern comedy. Sure, the show was a bit before my time, but they sewed the seeds for SNL, Seinfeld, MAD TV, In Living Color, Judd Apatow, Michael Schurr and others. What we know as funny today wouldn't exist without those guys.
That said, you probably didn't expect this post to get into comedy history consider the title. Well if you decide to message me, be prepared for more surprises.
I still have a job and I work from home, but I've realized that perhaps I've used my travels as an excuse to ignore other parts of my life, which I'm actively looking to expand. THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN!
Look, I'm not going to be that guy that is going to desperately beg for your attention. I want someone to chat with. There's no need to go anywhere with any obligations. Let's start by getting along and not finding each other boring.
I'm hoping you're someone interesting. Someone strong enough to give me a kick in the butt when I need it. I put on a brave face, but sometimes I need one. I don't care if you're just a friend or something more, the people in my life need to make my life better. And sometimes that includes a swift kick in the butt. (A proverbial kick. Not a real one)
I'm going to return the favor by being funny and charming and supportive.
And then we can continue to chat about comedy history or movies or books or travel or whatever.
