Hello!
I'm hoping to find a woman to share this crazy world with, ideally a long-term partner; however, I'm open to short term and friends as well. Ideally I'm looking for someone to complement my life, not complete it. My life is pretty complete at the moment! I'd hope any potential partner feels the same way, they're fully independent, enjoying their situation, but looking to enhance it a bit with the right company. I'm childfree, and I am looking for a woman who is also.
I live north of Boston, and while I'd be open to chatting with folks from around the world, if anything were to move towards a relationship I would prefer someone close enough that we could see each other regularly without involving planes, or either of us driving more than an hour or so.
I work in museums, and have for quite a few years. I work directly with the collections, but in a collection care/preparation role, so more physically. Generally making sure the art/collection is safe and well cared for, doing the handling of the works, and preparing them for display. I enjoy my job very much!
I'm also single, in Massachusetts, and work for non-profits, so I have a second much less interesting part time job. 🙃
I have two dogs, a cat, and a bunch of freshwater tropical fish.
I've had a bit of a creative Renaissance over the last few years, and enjoy a number of hobbies and pursuits. I'm working with ceramics, photography, 3D printing, electroforming, paper making, print making, furniture making/wood working, brazing, and more. I've turned my space into a bit of an art studio, it's great!
I also enjoy getting out, especially into nature. I like a moderate hike, though I'm open to checking out something more technical like the White Mountains. I love taking my kayak on the Ipswich River, and a nice bike ride. I often take my camera with me on hikes, or in my kayak, and get some really fun nature photos! I even won an honorable mention for a picture of a nuthatch. 🐦
I'm a big Sci-Fi/Fantasy fan, and enjoy pretty much all of the popular culture from that genre.
I'm a reformed video game player, I used to play all the MMORPGs, back to the days of MUDs, Ultima Online, Asheron's Call, and of course World of Warcraft. Over the last five years or so I've stuck to single player games that I can pick up and put down as time allows.
I've also been a D&D player since I was 13, though I haven't had a local group for years now. It's something I'm trying to work back into my schedule!
Politically, I'm Independent, but lean heavily progressive. Bernie Sanders and AOC sort of policies and ideology.
That's probably way more than enough for now, if anything sparks an interest, I'd love to hear from you. If not, thanks for taking the time to read this, and best of luck out there!
