My name's Lorna and I'm looking to make some new friends who are also women and near me in age. It would be ideal if you were in EST, but so long as you're in the US it's okay if you're in another TZ. I'm located in VA (Williamsburg), so local friends would be great too. I met two friends on Reddit already but I desperately need to expand my social circle.

I'm in an odd situation, life-wise, and I'm trying really hard to make the best of it. It hasn't been easy, but at least I'm trying. Having some additional friends would certainly help, specifically friends I could regularly chat with and enjoy the company of (even if it's just online).

I'd like to eventually move to a different platform like Discord so we could also voice and video chat.

A little about me:

• Introverted and highly sensitive person with ADHD and treatment-resistant depression--but I'm also empathetic, capable of taking a gentle ribbing/roast, and motivated to build stronger friendships.
• Music tastes: Some of my favorite artists include Gunship, the Midnight, Cannons, Childish Gambino, Ghost, and the Deftones. I love music that makes me feel something and I definitely play certain songs on a loop for hours at a time. I'm also a general fan of 80s and 90s music.
• I'm transgender and have been on HRT since 2017.
• Hobbies: Collecting antiques (especially uranium glass), interior design, writing, reading, watching the Trailer Park Boys (my favorite/comfort show), horror, role-playing, vampire-anything, roller skating, and thrifting.
• 420 friendly (but you don't have to be as long as you don't have an issue with it).
• I have a 3/4-year old deaf dog who is my constant companion.
• My favorite comic series is Locke & Key; and my favorite book is Jane Eyre.
• I'm not much of a gamer these days but I occasionally play Animal Crossing: New Horizons (would love someone else to play with/visit).
• I'm happily single, into kink, and would be okay with light flirtation (it's in no way an expectation or requirement).
• I really enjoy learning about new people and sharing thoughts, ideas, or talking about the things that we're passionate about.
• I'm left leaning (you should be too) and part of the LGBTQ community.
• I enjoy learning new things and adopting different perspectives (I've done this with astrology, psychology, philosophy, and tarot).
• While it may not always be easy, I'd love to have a friendship where we can talk to each other about what's going on in our lives--the good and the bad--and be vulnerable with each other. I know that takes time, but that's my goal.
