Life’s been a real peach since I turned 40, I tell ya what.
Did you know you could throw your back out just by sneezing? And your hair turns colors, like white or gray. (I guess it’s ok as long as it doesn’t turn loose)
And your knees popping can wake up a quiet house? Then you start making comments like ‘back when I was a kid…’ and ‘how do you work this remote?’ Just LOOKING at an Oreo now will make me gain a pound!! You start buying socks that are themed AND All of your shoes say New Balance on them.
Sigh
Look, all I’m saying is that life’s hard enough, so it shouldn’t be hard to find a person that makes you smile.
That’s where I come in.
I’m 42, married and soon hoping to be Unmarried (yes I know that comes with unwanted baggage) from the hottest part of Georgia right next to hell (no…Hell is not Florida, but I’m sure it’s close) I’ve got all of my hair and teeth. I’m in shape as long as you consider round to be a shape - I do have some extra dad bod, it comes with years of complacency in marriage-but I’ve gotten back to the gym and I’m putting water in the Pringles holder now in the treadmill.
I love to laugh….it’s my favorite thing. In a perfect world I’d make my person laugh and just fall in love with her smile.
I love to travel…and not like fly to Vegas travel…although I would. Travel as in load up the truck, point it in a direction and just see where we end up checking off landmarks as we pass them and stopping at every antique store in between.
I love great food…I’ll eat anything that won’t eat me.
I love to learn…I have 3 degrees and a few certifications just because my ADHD won’t let me decide what I want to be when I grow up. I love being a dad…my kiddo is THE most important person in my life. We go bowling, arcades, and he even enjoys going to the Goodwill with me. He’s smarter than I am and he’s far more kind hearted than I ever could be. HE is who I want to be when I grow up.
I really would love to find someone ‘nearby’ that is tender hearted, loves to just talk until the sun comes up, and appreciates how life can throw us curveballs.
The only reason I say nearby is because sure at some point I’d love to meet you. Not with the intent to ‘hook up’ or whatever the kids are calling it nowadays but to just sit and visit. Share a few laughs and a drink. Then move on from there.
If you’re not nearby, that’s okay (see my love to travel and I have some Southwest points) we can still set up a coffee date at some point. But only if you want to.
I’m in no rush to make something ‘perfect’ happen….life will fall into place just like it should.
Thanks for reading my little novel. I hope you have an amazing day!
