I’m pretty sure I’m living the movie, and not the good part. I wake up, walk to my computer, sit in front of the screen, maybe go out after work, and repeat. I think I’m losing it. Would love to find a real connection which I’ve been missing for a long time. Someone who wants to do all the things I hate doing by myself but force myself to do anyway like go out to restaurants/bars, go to local events and festivals, go on vacation, etc. That’s a lot of going, but I’m a fan of just sitting on the couch too. Someone who becomes my best friend and so much more.
It’s become so difficult to meet normal people lately. I’m pretty sure it has to do with the nature of the DC area, but I’m only interested in meeting someone local. I’m too old and too settled here to be chasing love around the globe. I’m educated, professional, great sense of humor, never married, no kids and looking for a like-minded, hilarious, respectful guy preferably 30-45ish. I’m often told I look younger than 40, once even by a doctor. I don’t have any pets but I think I’m more of a cat person, I’ve never been hiking, and I’m not obsessed with the gym which all seem to be sins in this area. And I’m not a gamer or a nerd which seem to be sins on Reddit. I’m probably doomed if that’s the case.
Words on a screen don’t usually do anything for me so I’d prefer to move things off of here sooner rather than later once we have a sense of what the other is about. Please respond with more than hi since I’ve put in the effort to give you some ideas to open the conversation and understand that a conversation goes both ways. It’s been wild out here in these DMs. Please include your age and location so I know we’re on the same page. Thanks!
