Hail and well met, fellow denizens of r/R4R30Plus!

Alright was that nerdy enough to scare of most people? Sweet, cool, off to a great start! So if my title didn't give it away, I am a big fan of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. I am also, as luck would have it, from the great state of Michigan (which I personally don't think is all too great, but I've lived elsewhere for almost 26 years so I digress..).

Now, I get it - I'm on the internet which is lameeeeeee. If you'll forgive the cliche (I'm hoping you will, dear reader) I'm throwing my hat into the arena humbly asking to talk with some fellow romantics that have a goofy sense of humor and a willingness to be open and honest. I'm single, I'm bored and in a fairly rural section of my state, so in an effort to provide my arbitrary credentials as to why you might want to shoot me a message I'll include the list below.

• I was a precocious kid who grew into a somewhat lackadaisical adult. I've got an adult job that doesn't pay enough for me to be content, but I'm actively working on remedying that. I'd like to think this puts me in a position to understand some of life's struggles when it comes to finding your place, and I think I am naturally drawn to others who have experienced hardship or at least know what it looks like.
• I enjoy intellectual, thoughtful conversation about any number of topics - some of my interests/hobbies include but are not limited to: dissecting TV shows and talking about what they mean to me (us?), Dogs (owning them, not so much breeding them - although I am guilty of getting mostly bred dogs. Get rescues people!), Emo/folk punk/indie folk music (happy to share music with you, would love some in return), video games (roguelikes, MMOs, action RPGs, I'm a bit of a nerd), TCGs as I've recently gotten into Flesh and Blood, Rock climbing (have really only climbed indoors and done minimal bouldering in the past, not amazing but admire the dedication it takes! My best route was like...5.10 or 5.11), talking about the reasoning behind your thoughts and feelings (and I'm happy to equally share my own story but of course!), Using parentheticals and having poor grammar structure while also thinking I'm a decent writer (oops)
• I've been told I'm very fun to talk too, I try to be engaging but at times that can fall flat, I guess I'm a bit of a weirdo! Working on getting better at self-affirming talk for myself and in therapy which doesn't hurt.
• I have a dog that is inseparable from me, you will get to see him if we have any kind of stimulating conversation whatsoever
• I'm cute, there I fucking said it. I don't know if I'm the most handsome guy you'll ever meet but fuck me I guess sometimes I take some decent pictures and I have a great smile (Can you tell I don't compliment myself, especially my appearance a lot?)

I don't want to give away ever brutal detail of my life so I'll cut myself short there and just say that I hope you have had a fun time reading through it all and I look forward to hearing from some people!

I'm considering this draft one of my magnum opus, I'll probably end up having to rearrange and edit half of this whole fucking thing by the second time I post it but I can feel the inner desire to delete all of this and resume my boring, normal evening surging up within me. So, before I give in to the impulse I just want to say thank even if I don't find anyone to chat with, I hope you find what you're looking for and have a great life!
