I’m a 32-year-old woman driven mostly by curiosity and a love for things like summer rain storms, puppies, days spent getting lost in museums, and all things science. I have a job I enjoy immensely (engineering R&D) where I can help clean up the planet a bit and a fancy title I never use. I’m a huge nature enthusiast and love the water (sailing and kayaking!), but prefer cold, grey, and snowy weather over sunny days and sandy beaches. That being said, I enjoy some days spent inside under some warm blankets writing or working on a puzzle. Health is incredibly important to me – physical and mental. As much as I can, I meditate and practice Zen. Beyond outdoor sports, I really enjoy badminton and, as a child and teenager, was a competitive figure skater. I try to get in some form of exercise every day and stay active on weekends.
I’m currently located within the US (East Coast, but traveling a lot) and am frequently in Europe since I have a permanent residence there. I work remotely 100% so distance isn't a factor for me. Physically, I’m 5’4”/165 cm with large dark eyes, pale skin, light brown hair, and dimples (photo of me for reference). I am also happy to send a better photo of my face :)
Some other random tidbits! I’m a huge Jim Henson fan (Labyrinth and Dark Crystal are masterpieces). I’ve lived on four continents and speak a few languages. My favorite book is The Call of the Wild, but my favorite genre is broadly fantasy. My favorite song is Yazoo’s Only You. In college, I wrote an award-winning essay on Joan of Arc and am still pretty proud of it. I enjoying tinkering around with restoring antiques and collect rare books on folklore. The most recent hobby I’ve tried was learning to paint watercolor flowers. I recently helped my best friend launch an AI start-up. I grew up on a farm in the Southern US so pets/animals are a big part of my life.
As you can likely tell from this post, I can drone on for hours about random non-sense (politics, art, science, history, religion...anything really). I love learning and so I am always interested to hear about other peoples’ passions. If I had to describe my what I am looking for, some characteristics that come to mind would be supportive, open-minded, gentle-natured, generous, intelligent, compassionate, and possessing an active/engaging lifestyle. Now I have written my novel, please feel free to reach out!
