Doubt it; we're too slow moving and trust everyone we meet.
Not so recently, but terminally single. Tired of listening to Noah Kahan on repeat and relating all too well to his music.
I'm 40 and currently live in North Carolina. I'm a workaholic and often do 55 hour weeks, but recently realized it's more just to take my mind off of my loneliness. I've also been using live music as a distraction, but going to these shows/concerts alone is old and can't help but wish I had someone to share the experience with.
I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy, often peppered with dark/anti-humor. I like to think I'm a smart guy despite being able to feel my brain atrophying in my skull most days. I enjoy nerdy pursuits like trivia and learning new skills. As I'm sure you can tell from my mention of Noah Kahan, I like folk/bluegrass/indie music including Gregory Alan Isakov, Bon Iver, Trampled By Turtles, Shakey Graves, etc. I quote it's Always Sunny in Philadelphia too much, but I also watch House MD on repeat wishing I was just as brilliant, sardonic, and bitter as he is. My turn offs include people's knees. for those who care, I'm 6'1", shaved head, beard, average build. Drunk 7.
Ideally I'd like to find someone unattached, child free, and fairly successful in their ability to adult. I'm a night owl though I enjoy a nice sunrise every now and again, even if it requires me to pull an allnighter. Basic girls with their Lululemons, Sephora, flat white half caf lattes to the front; Scorpios to the back. Bonus points for honesty, ability to communicate, understanding, and selfless compassion.
These posts always are a jumping off point, like a green egg you can put on your desk. The real test comes when we actually start talking. Getting to know someone is a process, so let's get it started!
