I'm in another hotel tonight. Traveling for work is exhausting and isolating. Anyone you end up meeting is another fleeting embrace. This week went by fast at least, but sleeping on crisp white sheets in a beige prison of suburban aesthetic feels like a frame straight from Poltergeist. It's almost consuming. The time is 5am and if you've traveled for work before the only thing on is Forensic Files; another case solved by modern forensics, thank God.
I'm rambling, rightfully so I hope. I just deleted two paragraphs comparing relationships to electrical connections. Strange, it made sense in my head but became long winded. I blame the humidity honestly.
I guess I should introduce myself in fear of losing you to disinterest. I'm extroverted with a hint of sometimes wanting to GTFO of social situations and just go star gazing or arguing the merits/demerits and paradoxical nature of nihilism over a glass of whatever beverage. I work from home and have one senior cat. I value intelligence, humor, and a strong but compassionate/empathetic person. Someone who's able to put themselves in another's shoes you can say. I tend to be pretty spontaneous because life has too much to offer to sit still. I try to appreciate most days and things I have, I hope you do as well. Not to say there aren't downtimes, there definitely are, but I try not to focus too much on negatives, as despair has always been a close friend.
I promise I'm not this somber, seriously! It's just the humidity and the early morning haze. Rather, I'm pretty light hearted, humorous even. My interests are varied, like really varied. I enjoy the typical millennial gaming, anime, reading, writing and things involving tech. I collect artwork from friends, occasionally draw (charcoal), snowboard, run, walk, talk, and grocery shop. Like every single guy, I've taken up photography (it was to get me out of the house during covid, honestly!). I've started knitting (come on dishcloth!). I enjoy cooking, I can hem and use a sewing machine though I prefer to sew by hand(thanks mom!). I have an addiction to vacuuming (the sensational cross hatched lines on carpet are perfection).
I know this has just been the bare minimum, but sometimes it counts for something right? I tried, oh well. Send me your favorite song at the moment. Mine is Wonder Eye by Little Moon.
