Hi Reddit,

I'm going to pretend this is an old school personal ad I'm placing in the paper :D Is that less weird? Thank god I'm not charged by the letter here. I'm not great at being brief.

I've been single the last 2 years and dating apps have been brutal. I try to go out with friends but I'm not great at approaching guys/meeting new people. I'm also definitely a homebody for the most part. I'm separated/finalizing a divorce. No kids though I would like one (who can afford two??). Born and raised in BC. Work from home. My simple pleasures are cat cuddles, long baths, a good playlist, and a fresh pedicure. I love a walk around a park, a nice view of the ocean. Spending too much time browsing instagram. Writing poetry. Going to a concert (the Commodore is my fave venue - I used to live downtown really close!). Arkells just released a new single and I've been happily singing along all day.

It's important to me to find someone who communicates well, is affectionate, and is big on words of affirmation (once we know each other!). Being vaccinated, left-leaning, and a generally kind person are key. If you can see yourself having a family in the not-too-distant future. You have either been to therapy or at least don't scoff at the idea (it's definitely expensive). You are comfortable spending a weekend cuddling on the couch and will also hit up the farmer's market or help me plan a weekend getaway.

But you're also a million things I can't predict and I don't expect you to be perfect. I definitely am not.

Some basic stats from me: 5'6", plus size (quite possibly bigger than you and it's not something I'm totally comfortable with, focusing on my health this year is important to me), agnostic, vaccinated, opinionated, kind, and too sensitive for my own good. Looking for a monogamous relationship.
