The rains are here and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with emotion. Haven't put myself out there for a while so here it goes.
I was in a long-term relationship that tanked a few years back and since then I've held a rather stoic stance, cleared my head, and moved on. Over the past year, however, with friends and family trying to talk me back into relationships, I spent some time on Hinge and while it had its ups and downs, I didn't see much activity. Which brings me to Reddit.
I love classic rock, home gardening, and composting. Hate crowds and loud people. Have a job that pays well, love to engage in a LOT of hobbies across the spectrum, and am fiercely independent. My friends nag me for not being on active social media but life's been great without it so there's no going back. I can be an ambivert when required but I personally prefer to spend time by myself indulging in DIY activities.
I am looking for someone who is open-minded and can communicate their emotions as clearly as possible. I am at an age where I value emotional stability over other qualities and have no time whatsoever for unnecessary drama.
While I was raised catholic, I no longer subscribe to the faith and I would personally prefer someone who is comfortable with the fact of me being an agnostic-atheist. Also, if you own pets, you should know that I am more comfortable with cats than dogs. I do love to engage with trained/ well-behaved dogs but absolutely cannot tolerate their uncontrolled barking. One must draw a line in the sand somewhere and those are mine.
Would absolutely love to engage in conversation if the above character interests you, cheers!
