Surprise! It's a white guy in his mid-30's. But to brag on myself for a bit - I'm much too tall, I love writing and playing music, I have basic social skills, and I own zero fedoras or samurai swords. This is a video of me butchering a Bon Iver song.
I posted to this sub a few months ago, and never really ended up talking to anyone seriously. I mentioned in the post that I was caring for my father who was dying. Well, he passed away shortly thereafter, so I wasn't really in a talking mood, if you can believe it. I say this not looking for sympathy, but in celebration of starting this next chapter of my life. Obviously I'm devastated, but now that I'm no longer a caregiver, I'm really starting to focus on myself and enjoy the people and experiences that I've been missing.
Today, I went to 1-year birthday party that was amazing and must have taken weeks to plan. Then I joined a few friends at an arcade bar, pet a bunch of dogs, and walked around the city enjoying the beautiful day. I haven't been able to do that in SO long. It's great, it's fun, it's rewarding....
But, of course, there's a distance. None of these great friends are with me now, talking late into the night about Who Cares What, sharing stories and experiences and really getting to know each other. I'm still looking for that. Are you looking for that?
Forgive me if I go to bed soon - It's pretty late here on EST time - but I'm looking for a long-term connection. Tonight is not unique. I'll be around. Please feel free to reach out and introduce yourself!
