Hey,

I have been on a long journey for the last three years working on my self in hopes to know more of what I need and be happy with what I bring to a relationship. I am a open book so you are welcome to ask me anything you like. I am not sure how long I will keep this post up but its just me trying something different Than my normal short posts in hope to grab some lurkers attention that might have never messaged anyone.

I am really hoping to find someone I connect with. Someone I can't wait to hear from and is also just as excited to hear from me. Part of me always felt like the nice thing about meeting someone online is you can get to know someone personally before all the physical things come in to play. Just have to filter out the insane amount of catfish now. With this said, I am hoping to find the last person I have to worry about meeting. My best friend.

I am not really looking for short term but obviously in order for this to work, we will have to start there. I have met some pretty cool people through reddit. Even one of my best friends.

About me: I can't spoil all the fun of getting to know someone but here is some details.

• I have lived all over the USA and have kind of settled on living in the Adirondacks. It has everything I want in my back yard.
• I am 40, 6'2", average build, no kids, never been married.
• I feel I am pretty decent to look at. (Not comfortable sharing my picture publicly but will in private. Hope you will too.)
• I enjoy Golfing, Hiking, Tinkering on random things, Hand building other things, pretty much everything outside. (Why i love the Adirondacks.)
• I live a pretty simple life and would enjoy becoming more self sufficient.
• I have a dry sense of humor and very much enjoy making people laugh.
• As I get older I tend to be more of a loner and wanting to be around less people. (Makes it hard to meet people, so here I am.) Although I do just fine in public and around people just not my main preference.
• Don't really drink. No drugs, or smoking.
• I am pretty in tune with my emotions and not so scared to show them now. If there is a connection I will be sure you know I am enjoying it.
• Enjoy random drives to places to see what makes them tick.
• Enjoy video games but mainly in the winter when it starts to get dark earlier.
• I tend to bury myself in work so it would be nice to find someone that will tell me no.

About you: These are all said very lightly as we really won't know until we chat.

• I would prefer you to live near me. With in a four or so hours. (I am about an hour north of Albany.) So that the chances of us meeting in person is more reasonable. I do however don't mind where you are from as if the connection is real, will take the time to make sure we can meet.
• Near me in hopes that one of use don't have to relocate to far from family. I am ok with relocating but I kind of had made roots here.
• It would be nice to find someone that is more of a homebody but also enjoys random exploring. Meaning someone that would like to have a projects around the house. But also enjoy down time.
• I am more attracted to a tomboy for lack of words. I enjoy someone that likes to play in the dirt and prefers jeans and boots to a dress.
• Would be nice if you also like to be in nature.
• Willing to try new things and take minor risks... but that might be a given if you reply to this post.
• I don't really have a preference to a body style but with the other things said, It would be nice that you can actively do things.
• Prefer the very small town life over a city. (I am talking 2,000 people or less)
