I can't think of a way to get my post out in a way I am happy with so I'm just going to get it out there however this is. The dating scene in this area in my experience blows. I'm also busy most times singles events take place and have friends that are some combination of not looking for partners, not drinkers, or not into bar scenes so online dating has been the main way for me to meet a potential partner. So far that hasn't been super fruitful for me, but that's fine.

Anyway, send me a message or chat or whatever if you are in the general CNY area and agree with some of what I have to say below or just want to try and get a better understanding of who I am than I can organize this way.

Personality

-Chill, easy going and quiet

-Will open up and be more talkative as I get more comfortable with the people I am around

-I'm analytical and enjoy thinking about things I've watched, read, played, etc.

Values

-Progressive politics and increased social welfare

-Investing in people and programs is better for the economy than more tax breaks for corporations and millionaires

-All people deserve security of shelter, food/water, and medical needs without having to worry how they will be afforded

-Feminism is not some boogeyman ideology that is trying to oppress men in favor of women. Toxic masculinity harms men as well as women, gender roles are bullshit that cultures made up and people in charge enforced over centuries, and anyone should be able to do anything with their own body

-The GOP is increasingly promoting authoritarian policies and individuals that are often Republican aligned keep showing more and more fascist tendencies. If you either disagree, or don't care, you're part of the problem

Hobbies

-Love music and live concerts

-Board games, DnD, Video Games are my main pastimes with friends

-I have a bit of a movie and television hoarding "problem"

Hot Takes

-Fall is the best season with October being the best month. Pumpkin Spice shit is everywhere, spooky times are fun, Halloween is a banger, the air is crisp but not freezing, all that goodness

-Breakfast is the best meal. Also, Brunch is just late breakfast, if you get lunch things for brunch you're wasting potential

-Rogue One is a bad movie and definitely not the best Star Wars movie, fight me. Andor fucking rocked though.

Red Flags

-Will just stay home instead of going on hikes even though hikes are fun

-Avoids sorting mail and other chores until people are coming over

-Is always cluttered

-Not the most adventurous eater

-Embarrassed to dance

-Is supportive of friends and their interests and hobbies
