I seriously mean anywhere because this is almost certainly both a terrible idea and won’t actually happen, but the universe is a strange place and I’ve learned in general to be open to all kinds of possibilities. To get right to the point, I’ve been invited to a wedding in France in June and need a date.
Let’s fill in some blanks. I’m 44, divorced with no kids, and have been single for a couple of months and taking a break from dating to focus on other things. I am from seattle originally, spent the better part of my live in NYC, and last year moved to Minneapolis for a change of pace. I also am spending more time in Utah to ski and generally be outside. I work in tech and travel a lot and generally love meeting new people and exploring new places. I live for food and art and as I write this I’m at a bistro in Montmarte in Paris where I’m enjoying an excess of both.
So, down to the situation at hand. Yesterday my good friend let me know that I need to attend her wedding in the south of France next month. While I’m annoyed that she waited so long to tell me, I’m excited for the trip. My only problem, and why I’m here, is that I don’t have a plus one. Is finding one on Reddit a good idea? Almost certainly not. Will it be interesting to try? Maybe.
So all I ask is that you can make it to grande in mid June. If you’re game, send me a message and let’s figure out if we click enough to do something incredibly stupid but assuredly memorable.
