Hi Everyone! I am reluctant to accept that it's Monday morning and I have to be productive. So instead I am turning to Reddit to forge some interesting connections.

I consider myself to be a pretty laid back, humorous, sensitive person. I try to not take myself too seriously, I leave that for my work in climate change - trying to slow it down, not speed it up (yes I have been asked this and no I don't think it's a Chinese hoax).

I really enjoy "ing" things - laughing, talking, baking, eating, walking...but not running. As much I like being active, I can't stand running. Likewise, sometimes there is nothing better than reading an excellent book or trying to make it all the way to the end of Netflix.

I'm originally from Ireland but have lived in the States for the last few years. So while I live in the US, Ireland will always be home. Being from Ireland, I feel there are a few things I should clarify: Yes, I have an accent. No, I have never "caught" a leprechaun. No, I don’t know your friend Liam. Yes, I love potatoes. No, I am not always drunk.

As for what I am looking for, whatever may come my way. I typically try not to hold expectations about anything or anyone in life. So, I'm not looking for anything in particular from this post but would enjoy a distraction lasting anywhere from hours to a lot longer. Want to take a walk? Great! Fancy getting brunch? Delicious! Want to complain about having to go back into the office? I'm a great listener! Want to just eat some fresh bread, listen to an Irish accent and then make out? My pleasure.

I've recently grown super sick of dating apps, swiping this way and that while trying to make myself feel like a prize pig all to convince people who are equally mindlessly swiping that I'm a great catch and more than just my fantastic beard.

I don't expect anything from this post but do hope you'll take the time to write and say hello.
