We toppled that regime over 200 years ago!

I will admit, however, that The Crown makes for a good show on Netflix. I'd watch that just for the corgis (the real stars).

A little about yours truly: I'm tall, a wearer of eyeglasses, work 40 hours per week in an office, sport a beard, and own a dog (whom also sports a beard). I have a house with three large bookshelves that are stuffed with my diverse collection of books. And I keep buying more. And I go to the library to check out books. And I'll even read them on my Kindle. I may or may not be trying to work on my house. Like, I'm doing things to it but whether they are the correct or structurally sound things to do remains to be seen. But hey, the next owners of the house can worry about that right?

I have other aspects to my personality besides being a bookworm. I should say I don't know much about anime or comic books and haven't played a video game since Red Dead Redemption 2 came out. I have creative hobbies like photography and writing (had a short story published once). I will also get down with the pop culture. Kids still say "get down" I hope.

I like the outdoors, some. You won't find me outside much when the heat and humidity start ramping up in the next few months. Give me my air conditioning. Or a great fan. Fans are under-appreciated.

But I'm not one to sit at home all the time. Let's go places and do things. Take the dog for a walk. Go for a short weekend road trip and eat funnel cakes in strange locales. Do interpretive dance as we ride public transportation. Organize neighborhood Shakespeare performances. You get the gist.

Now, what am I looking for. Friends first would be great. Not looking to rush into anything. I enjoy intelligent and educated women who are curious about the world. Would be awesome if you were a great conversationalist. I promise to keep up my end as well! Not concerned about looks and open to any location really. I have one of those automobile contraptions after all and I love to travel. Open to any age within ten years of my own.
