It's Monday night and like everyone for the last ten years here I am at work. The maddeningly hurry up and wait pace of overnight hospitality can get incredibly dull. The highlight tonight will be catching up on my shows on DVR, otherwise it's fallout and reddit to keep me entertained.
So here I am throwing my flag up on reddit to see who's out there.
I'm a long term service worker with a mile wide cynical streak creating sarcasm drier than Death Valley and blunt as the kick of a Mossberg. Which is only matched by my quiet empathy, willingness to help, and sense of humor that stopped developing at 14.
In regards to personal interests I'm kind of a standard middle aged white guy. I like working in my yard, cooking, hiking, science fiction, detective stories, video games, and writing when the mood strikes. Besides all that comedy in almost all it's forms is my biggest interest. At one time I even tried my hand at being a stand up, but thank god that was pre-youtube. Now I just write funny comments on reddit and crack jokes with the rare guest I encounter at work.
And what am I looking for here?
Someone I can get to know and flirt with if it feels right. That's about it for now. I have no serious expectations and know I'm definitely down for being a part time boyfriend or something.
