Hello!

I am looking to make some more friends, and or people to chat with throughout the day. I’m a 40 yo pleasantly plump, happily married man. I work in IT from home and have a lot of time on my hands.

I normally spend my day getting my work done in about 39 minutes then spending the rest of the day online either in video games, marketing myself, or chatting with whomever has the conversational skills to keep something going. I have a wide range of interests, but also am fascinated by things I don’t have a great perspective or knowledge about.

What I’m looking for: Honestly? Someone that can hold a conversation, even if the responses are slow. I’m sometimes guilty of “how was your day?” But that tends to come when the convos get a bit boring. I will talk about… well… just about anything. I would prefer to find someone in the same region, but I’m ok chatting with anyone.

I’m 40! I am not very political, as I would rather burn down the bureaucracy than support it, but since that would never officially hold and I would be forcibly removed from my friends and family, I tend to lean much more on the liberal side (phonetically I just said moron). This may also play into why I always fight with HR whenever I get the chance. I do have a dad bod, and don’t mind sharing it. It’s warm and fun, but not as hairy as a bear. I did lose most of my hair due to genetics and cooking over open flames. I have a solid day job that I hate, as I work with intelligent idiots. I have a side hustle that lets me play with wood all day. I love to read, play games (both board and video) and sometimes I even do other things. (These references can be cross-checked in the follow up interview for culture fit).

I’m a dedicated husband with two kids, but I’m also forty now, so my mind is expanding to try new things regularly. I’m most commonly known in my circles for taking a joke too far in regards to props and punchlines, but not in a bad way. I like to design, build, collaborate, and sometimes talk about things way inappropriate, likely due to my own personal traumas that have happened over the years.

My list of references are normally my previous posts and comments on Reddit, but I recently created this account so I can actually reveal more about myself without damaging my in-real-life persona. That said, my other accounts are not hateful or crass, but I do sometimes write smut for others, draw nudes, and comment on body-positivity threads that may not reflect well on my professional career. Truth be told, I just want some more friends that I can talk about anything with, and actually reveal my name to, and build genuine friendships with.
