I feel like I hit millennial bingo today. I took the morning off of my WFH job that doesn't offer health insurance to head to millennial mecca, i.e., Costco. While at Costco, I picked up my refill of antidepressants and got a $1.50 hot dog combo. After that, I headed to Lowes to pick up some fertilizer and compost for my sad, sagging hydrangeas. And that's when it hit me.

I'm very much in my "white people flipping houses" era, and I kinda love it. My current passion project has been sprucing up the front flower beds of my new home. I'm going for a layered pollinator garden type set up, accomplished over the course of roughly 7 phases to be completed by early June. I honestly adore weeding. It's kind of cathartic to rip a living thing out of the ground only to cast it off into to what I call the "die bucket."

Hopefully by the time the landscaping is done, the other exterior repairs and refreshes will be done and my elderly neighbors won't mind having a new, young neighbor around. The next home improvement project I'll be undertaking is transforming my rear screened porch into a catio. I'm slowly making my home into a bit of a bachelorette/cat lady/house plant psycho vibe.

When I'm not out gardening or getting psychotropics from Costco, I am doing other equally fun things like quilting and napping. I'm also an avid hockey and F1 fan.

The point of this post is that I'm looking to make new friends and meet new people. Doesn't matter where or who you are. I'm not looking for anything sexual or romantic, just looking for people being people.

1. I was born and raised in the south, but I've lived in a few different interesting places along the eastern seaboard.
2. I'm childfree. I simply do not like children and made the decision a few years ago that I don't want any, ever.
3. I'm a lawyer. I love what I do most days and my boss is actually amazing.
4. Quilting is sort of my thing. I run a discord group of quilters that is 200 members strong and I have met some wonderful people through learning how to quilt. I've completed 10 quilts so far and I have another 6-7 planned for 2023.
5. I'm kind of all over the place politically, but I'm definitely more left leaning than right. For instance, I want weed to be fully legalized, but I also want to keep my AR-15.
6. My music tastes are predominantly 90s and early 2000s rock and metal, but I also love a ton of other artists and bands. Except for country and gospel, those can fuck off.
7. Speaking of gospel, I'm pretty radically anti-religious, 12 years of Catholic school will get ya. Catholicism, not even once.
8. I'm the eldest of my siblings, which means I am the byproduct of parentification and all its perils.
9. I'm on the Pisces/Aries cusp which, according to my sister, explains everything.
10. My humor is very dry and sardonic and is not for everyone, and that's okay.
