I'm 38 years old, 6'1", 250lbs (dad bod). I'm currently a non-traditional undergraduate student in Ecology and am also employed in an academic lab. I love what I'm doing with my life and easily the most satisfied I have ever been. That being said, I live modestly in order to pursue my education and do what I love. I'm not money motivated and would love to find a partner who is likewise pursuing meaning and fulfillment regardless of societal norms.
I have too many interests to list but will try anyways: science, psychology, philosophy, bar trivia (with good friends!), boardgames, houseplants, aquariums, collecting vintage paperbacks, making art, collecting skulls and hiking. Generally speaking, I love nature; study forests and insects. I am very much into self awareness, personal growth and mindfulness though I admit I have room for growth in all those areas! I try to appreciate the little things life has to offer and do my best to practice gratitude just for existing. I also love music, movies (sci fi and horror are favorites), tabletop rpg's and miniature painting.
My hope is to find someone who shares some of my values-creativity, wisdom, genuineness and honesty. An ideal partner would also have a life rich with interests and the desire to foster a healthy relationship built on open communication, respect and love. Major green flag if you have a therapist!
I am genderqueer and an ideal partner would be open and understanding of this if not queer themselves. Politically, philosophically and ideologically, I am a leftist that's opposed to all forms of inequity and discrimination. I'd really love to find a partner who can identify with those traits.
Ultimately, I'm seeking a kind, creative, resilient and open minded soul to do life with. Though I support those who practice polyamory, I am myself monogamous. I'm looking for a partner who has a strong sense of self, can function/thrive alone but chooses to pursue a rewarding relationship with all the inevitable ups and downs.
If any of this resonates, shoot me a message. I'd love to get to know you!
