I spend a lot of time by myself at home, and right now I can't really visit anyone or travel anywhere, so I'm hoping to make new some new friends I can chat with online regularly and often. Definitely open to moving to another platform and also open to voice chat, too. Would love to make friends with someone interested in watching movies together on occasion (via streaming services). As a note, I'm in EST and a resident of the US.
Some things about me:
- I was born male but have medically transitioned through hormones and I identify as a woman.
- I recently got into Tarot as a means to explore my subconscious.
- I write a lot. I write for personal enjoyment and professionally as a copywriter/content specialist, though I'm currently between jobs.
- I have a deaf dog named Echo.
- I have a seldom-played Switch and love playing Animal Crossing with others.
- I've been learning Italian (or re-learning) lately with Duolingo.
- I'm a mental health advocate who has major depressive disorder, anxiety, and ADHD. My depression isn't as bad as it used to be, and I have a lot of tools to get through it. Therapy helps a lot, too.
- I enjoy roller skating and previously did roller derby. I've been internally debating about going back once I start a new job.
- I'm starting to collect podcasts to enjoy (currently going through the Mental Illness Happy Hour), so I'm open to recommendations if you have a favorite you think I might enjoy.
- I love synthwave/chillwave and electronic music (like Gunship and the Midnight).
- I buy, sell, and collect Uranium glass as a hobby.
- I'm just getting over a reader's block and am working through "If On a Winter's Night, a Traveler" by Italo Calvino. I also started reading "The Thief of Always" by Clive Barker, but I'm finding the writing a little tough to get into.
- I really enjoy the horror genre of movies and television, but I feel like I've watched all the worthwhile horror I could find/access. Currently addicted to "The Trailer Park Boys".
Feel free to send me a chat! Introduce yourself and let me know what we might have in common, or why we might get along.
