'm a 32M in North Brooklyn looking to find a genuine connection with a kind-hearted, like-minded lady. Ideally I'd like to move in the direction of a relationship/partnership, but I'm very much open to taking it more casually along the way.

Like I mentioned up top, my elevator pitch is that I go to therapy regularly, I practice open and honest communication, I'm emotionally available, and I respect boundaries. And yes, I really do have a bed frame!

I’m about 5’8 (aka 5'7), white, curly brown hair, glasses, and rocking a bit of a dad bod at the moment. I’ve never been much of a partier, but I'm usually up for grabbing a drink or two (literally) socially and I’m pretty fond of a little 420 to help wind down at night.

My biggest passion is music. Alternative/indie/punk/metal is my sweet spot - if you're into that, we already have a lot to talk about! I go to lots of shows and have a pretty extensive record collection. I also write, record, and release my own music under a cheeky name that I'll tell you if we connect.

I also love seeing stand-up, going to trivia nights, browsing museums, and I'm usually up for any of the many unique things that NYC has to offer. On more low-key nights, I love watching movies or playing PS4 - I actually only just got into the gaming over the pandemic!

Sounds pretty good, right? What's the catch?

Well, I have dealt with a lot of social anxiety throughout my life and was a very late bloomer to the dating scene. I've been on the apps for years, but I think I've been a little too slow when it comes to taking things past pleasant conversation and into more intimate territory. So, frankly, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to dating and sex. I'm not proud of it, but I think it's something I should be upfront about. I've done a lot of work on myself though, and I'm eager to make some new connections where I can put my newfound confidence to use.

When I've told people about my social anxiety, they're usually pretty surprised, so I don't think I'm particularly awkward to interact with, and when I'm comfortable, I can be really warm and silly and love committing to ridiculous bits.
