I've met a few people through R4R over the past year. Some that I still talk to on occasion. I haven't been able to find a person to connect with beyond conversation. While learning about each other is important, I'm looking for dating.

Me:

I'm a Dad with 50/50 custody of the kids. This is important for a few reasons. Schedules are hard, but I can make things work with my legion of babysitters that are happy for the . I also want to find someone who is okay around kids and/or has some of their own.

I love the idea of my partner having kids. More people to fall in love with.

I have a job, car, and my own place. I know this matters to most.

I don't want to sext. I know, boooorinnnng. Listen, that's great in a relationship, but there isn't any fun in it for me if we haven't even met. Save that for after the date.

I have been in a long term relationship most of my adult life, even though I've been single for two years. This is my first time actively dating in my 30s, and I'm adjusting. I am monogamous, so finding a partner that is exclusive is my end goal.

Generally very agreeable! If the connection is there, I'm willing to work through compromise and figure things out.

Really me, though:

I lost 100lbs this year. I'm loving my new look and loving myself more. I work out constantly and I'm on a strict no carb/sugar diet until I get beach ready. I cheat constantly, but only with french fries.

I am trying to get back into sneaker collecting. Now that my old clothes still fit, dressing nice is something I take a lot of pride in. Any fashionistas, come at me!

Voice calls are always welcome! I genuinely prefer them to text. I hate miscommunicating and voice conveys so much more than text. Video is cool too after getting to know each other a bit.

I keep a very clean house, even though it's humble. Part of my loving myself journey has been keeping my affairs in order. I want a partner, but I'm okay on my own.

Talking about bigger topics like politics, philosophy, love and dating, etc. will keep me engaged more than the weather and "how are the kids?".

I want to date. I love going to dinner, bar hopping, seeing stand up, taking a walk downtown. A night in is best after a night out!

That being said, I love a night in, too. I make great cocktails and I'm a mean cook so don't even try me. I'm a great host.

I want to find my person. I'm willing to date a bit until I get there, but I only date with intent of meeting a partner, not a FWB. I'm not saying that couldn't happen, but it's not my intent. If it's your intent, then I want to know going in. I want someone to lay with their head in my lap while I play with their hair and we talk about bullshit, get high, a little drunk, and make fun of people on Love is Blind.

Looking for 28-38. I find I have chemistry with a lot of different people.

Body type isn't too much of a concern for me. I was 300lbs recently and I understand it isn't easy. As long as you are happy as you are, I am. If you're not, I'll encourage you to overcome.
