I've been single for a long time, and for the most part, I've become very good at it.
Then, I got a voucher and tried online dating for the first time and realized that, yep, I still got it. Lol.
I only met up with one person and it didn't work out, but it reminded me that there's still a part of me that likes sharing the most mundane things with someone. Cuddling, caring and asking how your day was, sharing our innermost fears and dreams, and--would you like an experimental 4-course meal or just a bowl of pasta on the couch with an incredibly stupid movie? I realized I missed having a person.
I've always thought I'd meet my person at the library, but lately, the only people I see at the library are homeless (no offense to homeless people, but most of them don't want to be disturbed anyway).
I have an international background--born in Southeast Asia, studied in Japan, and did my masters in Germany. My family lives in the US but I just returned to my Berlin flat after visiting my grandma in Swedish Lapland (the Arctic circle!). So your location wouldn't matter much.
