Post Body

I’m almost a month in from the last time I smoked. A couple things I’ve noticed:

  1. Clarity - I started a new job right when I quit and my clarity has been amazing. Some days I actually feel like an over-achiever.

  2. Organization - I’m finally getting things done around the apartment that I’ve been pushing off (going through piles of mail, organizing my bookshelf, more maintenance level cleaning of my space).

  3. Natural tiredness - I shut off all lights two hours before intending to be asleep by, and before you know it I can barely keep my eyes open. I also regularly take magnesium and chamomile or some bedtime tea.

Some tips for people just now quitting: Find something else you enjoy doing at night, don’t swap one addiction for another, keep your hands busy, oh….and embrace the suck.

I also strangely notice when I bring my dog out one last time before bed, that I actually feel sort of high haha (I’m assuming this is just tiredness), this happen to anyone else?
