I started vaping around 7 years ago and used it as a means to quit smoking cigarettes and dipping tobacco. It seemed so innocent at first because it’s “just flavored air” and it doesn’t cause cancer (allegedly) like actual tobacco does. While vaping in moderation did help me quit using tobacco some time ago, chain vaping 50mg salt nic ultimately increased my tolerance substantially and made the addiction worse. I’ve attempted to quit numerous times, with the longest I‘ve lasted being 36 hours. At the time of writing, I’ve made it three days without inhaling god only knows what into my lungs and I think I finally have it beat. I threw everything vape related away and I am not letting myself buy another. I’ve noticed my RHR has increased significantly due to withdrawals, but I’m hoping it goes away soon and drops lower than what it was when I vaped. Already I feel like I’m breathing easier and I’m coughing up some of the nastiest shit I’ve ever seen come out of my body today. Another thing I’ve noticed is my mood has improved greatly and I’m not super anxious or depressed like I was before. If this is what quitting vaping feels like I’m not ever touching one again.
