If you had a $150 budget, what chest rig would you purchase?
Post Body

I am asking this for a complete setup. This entails the:

  • Placard - The attachment point for the harness and backstrap, bonus points for being able to carry magazines
  • Harness - Either X or H, both are fine
  • Backstrap - the strap that goes around the back

You are welcome to drop in any and all recommendations, whether they be a complete chest rig from manufacturer (like Velocity), a bits and pieces kit (like Spiritus), or a multi-manufacturer build from several sources.

Bonus Points

  • if the chest rig can carry at least 4 magazines
  • if the chest rig is dangler compatible
  • if the chest rig has at least 3 rows of molle to the sides
  • if the chest rig has built in pouches
  • if the magazine retention has molle on the face (to attach an admin pouch to)
  • if the total cost, including shipping, is in the budget (U.S.)

Be creative, throw some bits and pieces together, look for surplus, I don't care. Drop in some links.

This is a request for myself, as well as others, trying to get quality gear on a budget.

I think I bought a mayflower on ebay for this much a while back. 😂
