Calling those in the industry: Why should I make the jump from being Data Analyst with a focus in Financial Auditing to a Quality Assurance Software Analyst?
Post Body

Thank you for opening up my post and any feedback is appreciated!

I am currently 4 years out of college and have spent a majority of that time being a Data Analyst with a focus in financial auditing. This consisted of making sure data was accurate when coming in as a raw, when it is a final product as a report, and all stops in between. I am also involved in working with Sales Leaders to develop reports and automated tools.

I was approached by a leading job search website to join their team as a Quality Assurance Analyst. I would be testing their website when new features/products are added. I would be making about $5K more than I am already at and it is a growing company. However, I am a little apprehensive about starting at an almost entry level position learning Quality Assurance.

For those in the field, what are the benefits of going into this industry?
