Being Aggressive In Salary Negotiation?
Post Body

Hey fam, need some help.

I'm QA Analyst and I'm looking to negotiate salary for an internal position but don't know how aggressive to be.

I'll use a rather vague explanation to not reveal too much.

Basically I was hired as a QA (job 1) to test the software on a soda vending machine. But then I also configure and deploy updates and new software for the machine (job 2). But if the machine has a hardware malfunction I have to troubleshoot it and possibly fix as well (job 3). Im also the a part time electrician in case the power on the machine malfunctions (job 4). But if the power issue is at the wall I also have to troubleshoot the actual power source (job 5)....and so on. Multiple, very different hats which were never on the initial job description.

I feel based on the roles I have to take on, which I could branch off to any single one and make really decent money, I should at least be paid a median of the combined roles.

I wanted to write something along the lines of "there's no motivation or incentive to take on additional roles/tasks if the pay isn't correct. I would rather just stick to my initial QA role I was hired as and let others take on the other roles"

Any tips/advice?
