Terrible first time experience

Our flight from LA to Sydney was good with okay food. Our flight back was terrible. I get to my seat, next to my husband, and thought it was weird that the tray table was down. I put it back up and started to get comfortable. Then the passenger in front gets on and the tray table pops out. I put it back up and every time the guy moved it popped out and I noticed a chunk of plastic was missing. I tapped my call button and 15 minutes later an FA arrived and said she'd tell her supervisor. About 5 minutes later another comes by and says she'd let someone know. I put my table down to show it wasn't working and the supervisor tells me to put it up. I tell her that I already told two colleagues it was faulty and think it could be a safety hazard. Finally she says I could move to the aisle seat in the row diagonal.

I sit there until we reach cruising altitude. Then the supervisor comes by and says the passenger in the window seat needs to move around because his child is sick (sitting with his mom in another part of the aircraft) and he needs to get up. So I have to move again. She kinda gives me attitude for refusing to move back to the seat with the broken tray table.

I get sat in the back of the plane next to a woman who had an entire four seat row to herself. They tell her to move her feet so I could sit in the aisle seat and she gives me a dirty look. For the duration of the flight she lays out across three seats with her bare feet exposed. I never really slept because I was uncomfortable.

After the flight I was talking about the food I got. My husband didn't get offered two drinks I got, nor did he get a tam tam or the veggie snacks. Such an inconsistent experience since we were both in coach.

If we contact them to complain, will they do anything? I feel like the broken table speaks to poor maintenance and the apathy of the staff was concerning.
