Colored smoke compound
Post Body
I'm trying to make a colored smoke compound for the 4th, my current formula is 40% sugar 50% potassium nitrate and 10% baking soda. I'm trying to make them colored preferably orange or red. I was thinking I could add equal parts of an analine dye with potassium nitrate and the 10% baking soda after melting the sugar. Would this achieve what I want? Where is the best place to buy dyes like this or ways to color smoke in the US?
