How are you guys avoiding burn out?
Post Body

I'm A1 real estate tax in NYC. I only started full time in July, but the 2 engagements that I'm on are absolutely insane with their busy season.

9/15 deadline - both teams are insanely busy

10/15 deadline - one team chills out, but the other team becomes insanely busy

11/15 daadline - one team is insanely busy and the other is a more medium level busy

12/15 deadline - one team is so busy that I've completely neglected my other team, yet still hitting around 80 billable hours per week.

I'm legitimately feeling like I'm starting to burn out and idk wtf to do. I don't see an end in sight. From July until mid December I'm in a constant busy season. The only down time I have is literally Christmas - new years firm shutdown and maybe the first 2 weeks of January (another huge deadline for end of February). My utilization for the year is roughly 130%. There's literally no end to this madness. Working 60 hours a week on a good week. So back to the original question, how are you all handling this? Is this year long busy season normal in tax or did I just get royally fucked with my engagements?
