Hi all. I work in audit, pcs. I’m having a hard time understanding how we’re supposed to work 55 hours a week when it doesn’t feel like there’s 55 hours of work to be done. I’m sure there is but to me it doesn’t feel like it. All of this has me questioning whether auditing or accounting in general is right for me. I’ve been thinking about a career change at this time during busy season although I don’t want to let my team down and quit now. Sometimes I feel like unproductive which makes me hate auditing and accounting overall. What should I do? Change LoS, change careers/jobs? I feel lost and depressed at times. The money is great and all but I really don’t care about money, job satisfaction and mental health are more important to me. Need advice please.
