So, if you're ever trapped in a room and the only way to disarm a bomb is to design a PvZ Heroes daily challenge, here are some tips I've learned from the pros:
"It is vitally important that you stop your opponent from doing X." Give the players a deck that is utterly incapable of stopping the opponent from doing X.
"Here, have this deck with plenty of ramp." Don't include any high-cost cards, so you have a ramp to nowhere.
"Here's a deck that focuses on a major strategy." Leave out key cards that are important to the synergy that makes the strategy work.
"Here's a really solid, well-designed strategy." Opponent is running a deck almost purpose-built to counter you: For example, you get a bounce deck. They're running clique peas.
"Look at all these amazing cards you get to play with!" Nothing below a 6-drop, opponent is playing rush.
"We're starting you off with a great card already in play." Opponent starts off with something far superior already in play.
