So there's been a lot of discussion about the Unicorn Chomper. A lot of people are angry about not being able to hit max rank in GW2 without the Unicorn Chomper, something currently not possible to get without playing the first game (and a lot of it obviously).
In my opinion, it's a valid complaint. You shouldn't have to play the first game to hit max rank the second one. If they didn't want to make the Unicorn Chomper available to anyone except the rank 313 people in the first one, it should have came fully leveled up to avoid the max rank problem.
My solution is this: make it available to anyone that hits max rank in GW2 (minus the Unicorn Chomper of course). This still makes it extremely rare. Only the most dedicated of people will hit that rank. It will allow those people to hit the official max rank, plus get a little of an additional reward for hitting max rank. In that way, you can view the Unicorn Chomper as a reward for hitting max rank in either game. The people that hit max rank in the first get the added bonus of being able to play with the variant in GW2 without having to max out every character.
Sound fair? I think this is a good and fair solution.
