Wasteland King for dummies.... Any experts of this event able to ELI5 for people who are confused.
Post Body

I've played the game for a few months and up to now I've been forced to not be involved in WK, which suited me as I was often busy, because our state had set alliances who could participate and there were minimum requirements which I was always under. So I just helped where I could by shielding and setting camps in and around the mud/black surface.

This time I had strong enough troops to join the event, but had no clue what to do and how to score points. I feel like many other players are in the same situation where they don't understand it and feel afraid to get involved in case they do the wrong thing.

So anyone who has a great degree of understanding regarding Wasteland King, that would be happy to explain the Do's and Do nots of the event. Any strategy to maximize achieving the points at the cheapest cost and anything you think might be helpful to know would be appreciated by me and I'm sure many others. Or even if you are not an expert but managed to achieve the maximum amount of points and want to share your story on how you got the points, how much it cost you in resources and troops etc that would be helpful.

All of the above… We have a state defense alliance that we use for WK. The week of we use a Google doc for everyone to sign up with their troop type, March size and rally size and shit preference (we schedule two 4 hour shifts) for each turret and the hub. The capt goes first and initiates super reinforce and all assisting players send designated amount of troops w/o heros. I prefer second shift so I’m free at the start to port over and attack if we try to take the state or hit any unshielded sancs filling the mud. Troop building: as stated above fill infirmities with taxis (cheapest to heal) then launch attacks on the opposing hub or turrets. You will 120% of mite lost for all dead troops and those in deep healing from the comeback fast buff. Comeback fast allows you to cook troops at 300% spd. But once you get to T9s this becomes very expensive on your RSS. So I only do when I’m moving up to the next troop tier and I’m going to promote my shooters. I’ll typically use a combo of troops from my T8 swamp to suicide for increase mite loss/buff. Otherwise I just rack up my points hitting tiles and sancs filling the mud when their bubbles pop (FYI this can be a grind) especially if the other state doesn’t fill their mud. Point strategies: Setting traps-You can send your first March to gather in a tile and hope that a weaker player hits you without scouting first. Note* this can be dangerous if a bigger player finds you and wipes out your march. Also you can place a trap sanc in the mud and reinforce it. For this I’d suggest a 22-26 with a maxed out Alliance hall that can hold at least 100k in reinforcements and then send T10s or 11s to reinforce. Using anti scout will be helpful where so they can’t seem the reinforcements but may also give it away if the other player is savy to the strategy.
