[QUESTION] King Tan didn't work?

I used one King Flamtan, four Taurmare. I was trying to add them to my dupe Kuvia to skill her up by 4, and instead it didn't do anything.
Basically, the tan just didn't work at all. Is there a bug or something?
Is there a way to get my mats back or a way to contact them about the problem?
I have 2 King Flamtan left, but now I'm scared to use them and have them wasted again.
Anyone else have this problem?
