I'm eight days in, rank 49, and on King of the Underworld in Tomb of the Saint - Deep for normals and the 4th stage in Twilight Woods on Technical.

I've gotten three REM eggs from free stones: Lu Bu, Ruel the Green Angel, and Anubis. I'm running with Lu Bu as my leader and an Ice Samurai Ogre, Wood Ice Ogre, Hellray Harpie Demon, and Dub-Mythlit as my subs. I don't have the team cost to include a wood ogre or Ruel in my subs, hence the Dub-Mythlit.

Problem is, for the first time I find myself unable to make progress. I could probably beat the Twilight Woods level I'm on eventually if I got lucky with not binding my Lu Bu and neutering my ability to do any damage whatsoever, but in King of the Underworld I have to use skills to beat the three Basilisks in wave 9, leaving me with no skills to beat Satan before he kills me. If I could beat the dragons without skills I'm confident I could kill Satan before he attacks, but yeah.

I'm not opposed to paying for some stuff, but the magic stones seem a very bad value in this game, five bucks for a chance at a creature that probably won't improve my team if I even have the team cost to include it.

What should I be aiming to do at this point? Thanks for any help!
