Impact of aspergers/high functioning autism on men

What specific suggestions are there for men with aspergers in terms of dating? We are extremely prone to fall into "pill thinking" due to the inability to understand how it is not our lack of achievement or our appearance that has made us undateable but our social awkwardness. Like are there any speicifc books, set of guidelines or steps to take if you have aspergers and are not particularly attractive? I feel like pill thinking and self improvement advice are more aimed towards neurotypical people.
