Transportation from Santo Domingo and back

I have flight credits I need to use by the end of November, and we would have to fly in to Santo Domingo. I'd like to go to Punta Cana however to the resorts there. (Unless anyone knows anywhere by Santo Domingo.)
Does anyone have any recommendations for reliable transportation to and from the airport? Preferably private transportation. If anyone has any websites or knows of any companies.
