I'm sorry but this seems a bit too long and complicated to be posted in the megathread. So anyway, i saw this in a Facebook group by an Anon user(Credit to them, whoever they are). I don't play in CN so i wanna ask if these answers are correct? If these are true, then people really downplayed Dark Karen A LOT from what i have seen.

Q: Should I skip Dark Karen since I have Tenebrion? I heard she's only good in SS3

A: No. There is no proven fact that Tenebrion is anywhere near good as Dark Karen. And Dark Karen is already pretty good at base S with sig.

Q:Then shouldn't I just invest in Tenebrion instead? Since he can shred better than Dark Karen.

A: No, the way Tenebrion's 25% shred works is that he needs to be ult form to apply it, which takes a lot of time to build up, while Dark Karen just need a single core (bonk) or QTE to apply. Tenebrion's overall dps can't even reach the tip of what Dark Karen can offer.

Q: I heard that Dark Karen needs to be SS3 to have better DPS than Luna, shouldn't I just skip her since I don't think I can reach that rank?

A: Technically not wrong, Dark Karen's dps before SS3 is not as high as Luna. But first of all, comparing the dps between an Attacker and a Tank is an unfair comparison to begin with. A tank's main job is to shred so you can have effective damage against the enemy, and yes, Tenebrion is utterly bad at this job.

Q: But I want to skip her so I can save for XX character.

A: If this was another gacha, maybe you're right. But in PGR, you can get every new debut S rank Omniframe with hard pity as long you are active. You should instead change your mentality to that every new S rank Omniframe debut you can purchase the new unit with 15k BC from the shop, and sometimes the shop gives you a good discount for the unit.

Q: But what if I want to get high rank of a future unit? Shouldn't I skip?

A: Absolutely not. Because how PGR's core gameplay works is that all the units in a team must work together to perform respectable dps. If you have an ultra built SSS attacker in a team, but a lackluster overall tank and amplifier, a balanced built unit by another player who skipped no one (f2p too) can outdps you easily.

Q: Is Selena Capriccio weaker than Vera Rozen?

A: Depends on context. If Capriccio is below SSS, she is a sidegrade compared to Vera Rozen at SSS or above. In this context, Vera Rozen gives more damage buff as a QTE slave than Selena Capriccio, while Selena gives more survivability than Vera Rozen. However when Selena reaches SSS, Vera Rozen is officialy retired from Dark team.

Q: Jesus? Then isn't Selena Capriccio a P2W unit?

A: Absolutely not. In the CN server f2p players can SSS her within 6 months or less through the free battlepass. So as long you didn't waste your BP currency, you should get her up to SSS too.

Q: But isn't still Luna solo in the dark meta in the CN server?

A: No, Luna(S to SS) fell off the meta quite a while already since she lacked QOL changes that 2nd Generation units have, mostly the timestop mechanic. Most players with reasonably invested Dark Karen and Selena Capriccio prefer a 2nd tank in the team while rotating Dark Karen and Selena Capriccio.

Q: Doesn't that mean I'll need Tenebrion?

A: Even XXI can do a decent job at that.
