Hello all!
First - I am new to punch needling, but not new to embroidery.
Second - I am doing punch needle with embroidery floss, so maybe this isn't the right sub?
Here's my problem. In this piece I'm making I am doing flowers, think like lavender and fox glove. I did the stem first with a "chain" stitch, I did this with a needle that is big enough for 6 strands of floss.
Then I did the petals with a needle that fits 3 strands of floss and is a but smaller in diameter.
My problem- When I satin stitch the flowers next to the stem, the stem pops out.
Is this because I'm using different weights, different needle sizes or my fabric?
I'm using weavers cloth for this.
