Hey everyone, my father is 100% boricua. My grandparents moved to Chicago in the early 70s. They recently took ownership of my great grandmas house in mayaguez. I used to have a fear of flying over water, I'm finally getting to go! I'm so excited to learn about my culture and roots, my Spanish is not great what so ever but I understand a lot! Is this something that people may frown upon as l'm there? Is the downtown area safe to walk home from the bars? Thanks for the feedback in advance. And please drop any food/activity suggestions.
