Hi folks - I just booked last minute flights to San Juan next week. I land late Wednesday night and leave at 6pm on Monday.
I am travelling solo. I do not have a rental car booked and would prefer not to if possible. I'm 30M and would rather spend my time in nature than in bars.
I've spent a lot of time going through this group to try get the best itinerary and it is as follows:
Thursday: Wake up early and explore Old San Juan and surrounding beaches
Friday: Spend the full day in El Yunque National Forest (can anybody recommend a good tour company?)
Saturday: Ferry/Flight/Drive to either Vieques or Rincon (what would you suggest?)
Sunday: Enjoy the day in either Vieques or Rincon and ferry/flight/drive back to San Juan
Monday: Explore San Juan again until 2pm and leave for the airport.
Everybody seems to rave about the bioluminescent bays. I checked the moon schedule and it looks like its a full moon while I'm there. Would it be a waste of time doing a tour during a full moon?
This is a very last minute trip and I'm normally far more prepared. Any tips/thoughts/feedback is greatly appreciated
Wow. I will be there but I vacation entirely differently. Have a great time. Be safe
